MOANING/HOWLING noise?

My 2001 F-250 CC V-10 Auto 4x4 makes a moaning/howling/groaning noise at low speeds and it is more significant during decelleration. I first thought it was a tire noise, but I've rolled down the windows and don't hear much noise from the tires. You have to have the stereo off and listen to hear it, but it's there. Searched and couldn't anything. Sounds like brakes or drivetrain any ideas? Thanks in advance

If the noise you speak of is very faint, I hear it too but get this...I didn't notice it until after I locked my hubs and put her in 4WD for the first time. I cruised around in the dirt for a little bit, unlocked her and put in back in 2WD, then noticed a bit of a groan when I got back toolin' down the pavement...huh
