Congrats on the new truck. The only thing you'll need to watch out for is the monthly payment mailer...(vbg)

Re: My new 250 V10 sould be here in 2 weeks any thing i sould watch out for

Yes, Steve, here is a great tip on your new
F-250 SuperCrew V-10 truck that your dealer most likely didnt mention!

When you get the truck you will need to get a big stick. I use one that is about 3 inches in diameter and four feet long. I keep it right in the cab of my truck between the center console and the right froont passenger seat.
This big stick has saved my life on numerous occasions, and especially when pulling my travel trailer into a new campground with fuyll hookups. Everytime I get into a place like that I am immeadiately surrounded by beautiful 5 foot ten inch tall, 12o lb blondes with blue eyes and huge chests. Not that I dont care for gorgeous blondes, but these women go crazy over me in my new Ford truck and they just wont leave me alone. Ive found that the big stick doesnt handle all of these crazed dames, but it does help thin them out alot! Good luck on your new truck, Steve, and I hope you find a nice big stick.
I wish that someone else wouldve told me about this problem before I bought my Ford truck, it would have saved me alot of trips to the hospital and I wouldnt have lost so much money from time off work to recuperate from all the physical stress placed on my body in having to handle this blonde female problem!

I think Haden Ph 208-888-4403 ext 127 needs therapy . . . or maybe he's just been hit over the head with that stick a few too many times. That's pathetic . . .

F250, just make sure and give it good and detailed inspection before you ever leave the lot with it. You're going to miss some things that you will only find when you start driving it, but anything you can get fixed before you take possession of the truck will save you some time later. Good luck and welcome to Ford-Diesel.com!!!

Like "Hoss" says. Look for all the little details. My wife (women in general) can find things men can't. Take your wife, sister or girlfriend with you. Look over the trim pieces, paint runs, stains, scratches, etc. I even had a misplaced top radiator hose clamp on mine.

Mine had VERY Little wrong with it, but then I had 3 to choose from on the lot. Take your time and don't get "clouded" vision due to your excitement. Hoss is right! Have FUN

Re: My new 250 V10 sould be here in 2 weeks any thing i sould watch out for

Another suggestion is to do an archive search for topics refrencing or directly related to "Rail Dust". This is a situation that comes into play when your truck is being transported from FORD to your dealer. Tiny metal particulates from the rails and rollers of the freight trains come to rest on the paint (actually embedded)and later begin to rust in the paint. If you do not give the paint a super extensive and thorough inspection you'll probably miss it and won't notice it until it is too late. I know that color plays a major role in ease of discovery but it's something to look out for. Congratulations and good luck.

You'll probably get wind noise near your left ear within the first few thousand miles, especially, it seems, if you run a lot of highway miles. Here is the cheap fix for that. Then you'll notice that your gas tank really doesn't hold 29 gallons. But worse comes to worse, you'll be pretty happy when you get stuck in places like this! Enjoy your new truck!

Hi Steve, I just got some bad news on your truck. Seems the rail car it was on derailed somewhere in Colorado up near the continental devide. I understand the rail car (and your truck) is at the bottom of a frozen over 3 mile deep mountain lake. Worst of all it is one of only 3 inland lakes in the US that is 90% sal****er! Best be for ordering a new truck soon!
