New Lincoln LT

Well, we just unloaded the wifer's 2004 5.4 Eddie Bauer Expedition. Had it leased for 3 years. It was a really good one, but the residual was too high to purchase, so we just turned it in. Looked around at Nisson Armada, Toyota 4-Runner and Sequoia, the Lincoln Navagator and LT. For the money, the Lincoln LT is a pretty good lease. Nice rig and the wifer is a happy lady. Fancy yet functional and heavier than the F-150. Seems that all of the new Expeditions at the Ford dealers are the new long models that are trying to compete with the Chevy Suburban since they 86'd the Excursion. The prices for the long bed Expeditions were higher than the Lincoln LT and we didn't need the length, so it was a better deal for us. 39 months, 15k/year, for $634/month plus Idaho tax and no down. Sticker was $49k loaded including navigation package. Hope it is as good a rig as the '04 Expedition. The new engine compartment is actually cleaner than I've seen in the past 10 years, not as much junk, but still no $6 hood light. You gotta be kidding!!

Re: New Lincoln LT

Good luck with it, Pappy. I sold my Crewcab a few weeks ago and got a 2007 F-150 Supercrew Lariat - loaded soup to nuts (no navigation, though). I absolutely love it. For the driving I do, it is perfect, although diesel still runs deep in my veins. I'm counting the days that go by before I get the smoker bug again and wish I hadn't downgraded. Of course, after the guy bought my 2006 and it puked the injectors the next day, I probably will get a few more weeks in enjoying my new F-150 before I get diesel pangs again! Now, I've gotta get some cash saved for the MBRP exhaust and the Edge Evolution (or Troyer Xcal). Re: New Lincoln LT

people that buy Lincolns and most other luxury brands have other people check their oil and therefore don't need no stinking underhood light.......
go look at luxury brands, underhood lights are rare.

Re: New Lincoln LT

Pappy,
Nice truck
A friend drove his up deer hunting this year.
It looks out of place in the woods, but it is a pip daddy ride
I really liked the interior, nice seats, trim, dash
I think it's nicer then the KR's inside and out and from what I hear
there knocking off allot from MSRP

Re: New Lincoln LT

The Lincoln dealer in Bountiful has a bunch of LT's and is really dealing. We also just ordered a Leer Browning Topper and Leasure carpet insert. Should look real neat. Will post pictures after Holidays. Found out my Superchip 1714 should work on this '07 5.4, we'll see after a few miles.

I've owned a lot of cars and trucks over the last 32 years, including Lincolns and a Corvette, and the Milan is the 1st one I can remember not having a light under the hood. My 86 F150 had an underhood retracting light that pulled out and would reach to the rear wheels if you were changing a tire. Definitely a nice touch as you could use it for a lot of things. I'd give 20 or even $30 extra for this on any vehicle.

That's right, I had forgotton about that under hood light. I had one in my 1983 and it had a retractable magnet light that would go all the way to the rear wheels. What a deal!!
