New V10 has arrived

2006 SuperCab 4x2 with V10 has arrived. Thanks for all the information and advise. Truck has plenty of power and should only get better as it breaks in. First tank got 12.7 mpg.

Re: New V10 has arrived

Do you have 4X4?

Ford is replacing my severly leaking F250. Love the truck, not to happy with 6.0. Wanted to know the specifics on your truck since I am leaning towards a 4X4 lariat V10, with 4.10's.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: New V10 has arrived

Just turned 3K on my 06 4x4 CC LB V-10. Some symptoms of death wobble but nothing I would get nervous about. I think it's a function of the plow springs in the front... kids say they feel like bobble head dolls, but I love the truck so far.

Re: New V10 has arrived

No, I have a 4x2. I thought long and hard between 4 wheel and 2 wheel. I have had 4 wheel in the past, but been using 2 wheel for the last 8-9 years. I have been stuck 2 times and paid someone 10 bucks each time to pull me out. Therefore, you can tell, I pretty much stay on hard surfaces most of the time. 2 wheel provides a little less maintenance, small increase in mpg, and made my monthly payment easier to swallow.

Last tank was just over 9 mpg so not as good as the first tank, but, still recommend the V-10. It is a strong motor.

I have the 4.10 limited slip.

Re: New V10 has arrived

Give the V10 some time to break in. Around 1500 or 2000 miles the truck really starts to wake up. Another note worth mentioning to new V10 owners: With the drive by wire system, 3/4 throttle, or even 99% throttle wont feel the same as your foot right to the floor. With WOT, Ive been told that the computer goes to a default mod for max power, it is incredible to feel how hard the truck will pull, especially above 3k RPM. Once you get some time on it, slam her right to the floor and hang on
