O2 sensors

Has anyone ever heard of a dummy o2 sensor and where to get them?

Re: O2 sensors

Dummy o2 sensors are designed for OBDII vehicles that have had the catalytic converter removed and are setting a downstream o2 sensor code, because the downstream sensor is following the upstream sensor. Normally the upstream sensor switches voltage between 0 and 1 volt. The downstream sensor should stay steady, but when the cat is removed it also starts switching, causing a CEL.

The dummy sensor send a constant voltage siganl back to the ecm to trick it into not setting a code. I know you can get these from summit racing and jegs.
