I have a friend with a set of Magnaflows that sound great and he says he noticed 1 mile per gallon increase and more poop.

Re: opinions for duals on 5.4?

hey there gramps, before you go making smart comments... might it have occurred to you that i didnt want that crappy y-pipe and that huge catalytic converter, so i ran true duals with magnaflow spun aluminum cats into a magnaflow DI/DO #11385 crossover muffler. and might i add it sounds extra sweet..... deep rich tone with a lot of growl! oh and not very much extra noise in the cab either, but im going to dynamat it soon so there will be no noise.

Re: opinions for duals on 5.4?

i would recommend true duals if at all possible..my friend has a 2007 with true duals he left the cats on and ran trues all the way back without a muffler and i dont think you can ask for a better sound i never could understand the point in buying aftermarket mufflers when you can just run piping get better tone and air flow just my opinion.. also his pipe size is 2.5" you wouldnt be dissapointed
