Part on order, waiting, waiting, waiting! What to do?

Two weeks ago, I took my truck in to the dealer to get the new Y pipe put on. In the process, the mechanic pulled one of the studs out the left manifold - then broke off a tap in the hole. They said they ordered a new one but it STILL has not arrived! I called CAC and they say they have no way of checking on the part and that the dealership is the best source for order status. The dealer says that they have no information. I've already missed 2 weeks of Elk season because I don't have a truck!

Anyone have any ideas? There has got to be a better way of getting things done!

Have you asked them to take one off another truck they have on the lot? Have they called other dealerships trying to locate one? Ask them for a loaner- since THEY messed up.

Just some thoughts.
