what is the best programmer for the v-10. does the programmers do much good for pulling with these engines? how about the intake system? are there other DIY mods to get more torque from these engines?.... thanks

Re: are the power programmers for the V-10 worth it?
Don't know about programmers, but I do know that opening up the air flow makes a big difference. New y-pipe to replace the contorted Ford one, more open muffler and some bigger pipe. Also, the intake can be made less restrictive. Headers also help. I've never looked hard at the programmers because of the need to run premium fuel, although I believe some of the newer ones have programs that allow you to stay with 87.
Re: are the power programmers for the V-10 worth it?
Superchips cost around $400 and can make a big difference in performance and shifting. You can use their 87 octane program for towing and it will be a substantial difference. If you want big performance, you can program performance with premium gas and blow the doors off most rigs. If you want economy and towing, you can do that too. I have it on my wifer's Ex and use the 87 & tow program and it is great. Decent mileage and great shifting.
