PPIII

Does the PPIII recal the vehicle ABS or just the speedo??
I have larger tires/wheels and feel a difference when braking. I know I can get the ABS done by the dealer. I just didn't want to recal the ABS at the dealer then change it again with the PPIII.

Re: PPIII

I checked for my 2002. It does not do this for the Fords. I had to buy the SuperLift Truspeed. Still have to install it yet.

Re: PPIII

I didn't see an option for the ABS or Speedo when I did mine. Bummer because that was one of the reasons I bought it.

Re: PPIII

I picked one up and noticed the same thing. I guess I'll go to the dealer. How do you like your PPIII so far?? I'm running 3.73 with 33x12.5x16.5 wheels/tires and I have a noticable increase in throttle response. I haven't dynoed but will when I get the chance.
BTW that's only on 87 octane. Do you like the Flowmaster set-up?? Watcha using??

Re: PPIII

HeavyAssault are you noticing any pinging with the low octane? I get some pinging in my truck without running a chip or any mods for that matter. Just curious, thanks..

Re: PPIII

Nothing that I really notice. I can't recall ever having really noticed before or after any mods. I'll try to listen a little more to see if there is any pinging.

Re: PPIII

I noticed it under hard accelleration just after a shift, or when climbing hills in o.d. All with 87 octane.

Re: PPIII

It seems as there is not a PPIII out for 2000-2002 models as of this time. Try calling them (Hypertech), they may be releasing one soon. If you live near them they might need a truck to use for R&D.

Re: PPIII

So does the PPIII not recalibrate for larger tires? This would be one of the reasons that I would want to purchase it.

Re: PPIII

Yes they do not recal the speedo. Although you have a 2002 they could be changing that option. They have not released a 2002 V-10 PPIII.
