Programming Keyless in '99 F-350 10V

I have a couple of spare remotes from my dads '02 F-250 V10. My girlfriends old man has a '99 F-350 V10. Two questions:

1) Will the remotes from the '02 V10 work for the '99 V10?
2) How are these remotes programmed for the truck?

My truck has a plug under the driver side kick panel that you jump and the locks cycle, then you hit a button on the remote and if they cycle you're done...is it similar to this?

Turn the ignition switch from the 1st posisition (not off) to the 2nd position until your power locks jump up and down. Process will be about 7-8 turns. Press one button each remote you want programmed and you are done. Each remote that sucessfully gets programmed will make the locks jump up and down.
