Recommended Oil Weight When Using Royal Purple?

What weight oil should I use in my 80k mile V-10, I want to switch to Royal Purple so I was curious if there was a difference in what the weight should be.Also how many quarts will I need?
Thanks

Re: Recommended Oil Weight When Using Royal Purple?

I just got the Royal Purple tranny Jucie $5 a quart.
Didnt look at the engine oil I change mine at 3k anyway.
V-10 takes 6 quarts engine oil..I use 5w30 but they say 5w20 is the one for newer trucks, better MPG????

[/ QUOTE ]The 5w-20 is only for mileage, using 5w-30 or 10w-30 is fine.
