Reprogram of Speedo after tire size change

Recently put 315/75 r16's on 2000 SD Powerstroke. Dealership has made 3 attempts to recalibrate and failed, they are making final attempt on the 14th of June before I give up on them and go the aftermarket route. Any input from out there appreciated.

You can always try another dealer. Might also try searching the other forums for information on aftermarket recalibration units. I seem to remember a pretty recent thread on one.

Good luck!

Re: Reprogram of Speedo after tire size change

Hey Scott
Welcome to a great site.
Look under "upgrades and aftermarket" of "dealer can't recalibrate my speedo" and read through the whole thread. Great info

Let us know how it turns out

Re: Reprogram of Speedo after tire size change

I put BFG 295's on mine and the manufacturer sugjested 615 rev/mile, however I read a post from SmokeyRen that stated that he got the same tires and to get to 100% accuacy the actual Rev/mile where 626, so I had my dealer set it at 626 and when I checked it was right on the money..... I read a post somewhere about your tire size and I beleive the Rev/Mile where 599 but I'm not real sure on that one, if you do a search you'll find it.......Good Luck

Re: Reprogram of Speedo after tire size change

swampratt,

Are you still using the stock rims or did you get new rims?

Thanks
