Scan Tool / Code Reader for OBII

what scan tool gives the most bang for the buck, it the ability to see live data something you need? OTC 3407 or 3409 or something else?

AutoEnginuity is the way to go, IMO.

The OTC 3409 seems to have the capability to read multiple manufacturer's enhanced codes, but with AE, you'd have to buy add-on software modules. Basic AE and Ford Enhanced package is about $350.

Reading live data isn't absolutely necessary, but it's cool [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img], and many times helps you makes sense of what's going on. I've graphed the data from AE comparing parameters against others. Makes it easier to see than on the fly.
