Since no one says they have one, is there something wrong with Kenne Bell?

I asked for some info and performance on the Kenne Bell kit for the V-10 and no one responded. Is there a reason no one chose to get one?

Re: Since no one says they have one, is there something wrong with Kenne Bell?

Kenne Bell is known in the Mustang world as having extremely poor customer service. That is probably a good reason why no one has one, as well as the cost.

The ability to make all that low end torque with the Bell is definitely a good thing. I just don't know if I would personally ever spend my money with them. I would be looking at a Vortech myself. While a totally different type supercharger, it may or may not be better for what you are doing. It also is a proven commodity from a company with good customer support and service. Good Luck

Re: Since no one says they have one, is there something wrong with Kenne Bell?

I've seen the Kenne Bell system in magazines only. Good numbers, but there are two things I don't like. The cost, and it runs off a modified alternator pulley. That doesn't seem very heavy duty, and seems like it could easily overstress the alternator bearings over time.

I'd also say the V-10 supercharger market is not very big, so you don't have alot of people with them...at least with the Superduty crowd.

I would consider the Bell, or any other manufacturer, if they could provide warranty coverage where Ford would drop me.

The supercharger market will probably need a few more years to develop. As first year SD V10's start to fall out of warranty, owners may be more inclined to supercharge them. I know supercharging will be a consideration in 6 years if I still own the same truck -the warranty will be over.

I do not like Kenne Bell either. Take a look at a Whipple Charger. Whipple has good customer service and I think they offer a kit for the V10s. High RPM centrafugals would be out of the question for me. How much wasted torque down low when the centrafugals do not have boost. Get boost down low and the results will be astounding.

Re: Since no one says they have one, is there something wrong with Kenne Bell?

When I called about the price of a KENNE BELL
I was quoted $3800 before installation. If money was no object to me, yea I might have one. But to shell out that much at one time is alot too me.

I do think that you need to have excellent customer service if you want to make the sale. I'm going through some dealings with BORLA right now that has left me thinking twice about dealing with them in the future.
