Yeah, but at 1.59 a gallon here (diesel), I'm glad I've got the gasser!

Besides, we all left when you posted...we could smell the oil coming before you got in here!!!

Re: Snif....Snif

Well 1.59 diesel doesn't mean much right now. All the truckers use diesel, if the prices get too high all they'd hafta do is stop driving and bring this country to it's knees till the prices get lower again. So unlike gasoline diesel has a limiting factor, god knows how much gasoline will be here soon, plus diesel's esier to make, at least it used to be.. But all just opinions i guess until it really happends.

"Not sayin I dont like gas engine's, Just thought I would pop in and harass you guy's for something to do "

Can't blame you, it must get boring talking about issues like the following in the 7.3L or 6.0L forums:

1) I paid $45,000 three weeks ago for my truck and it's been in the shop for 2 weeks with engine troubles. No problem though, the Ford dealer has a guy from NASA coming in this week who specializes in fuel systems...

2) I am only getting 17-mpg on the last tank...must be "winter blend". I swear I get 17.6 in the summer...

3) Just got my truck out of the shop $1,500 for injectors. Too bad I was 1 month out of warranty. After all this is my baby...

4) Dealer voided my warranty...just because I have a 5-inch exhaust system, upgraded fuel modifications???, and a superdooper programable chip...

5) Just got done towing 15,000 pound trailer to load it up with widgets. I will tow it back next week to the storage yard when it's loaded at 45,000 pounds. Should be fine at 65-mph in OD...do it all the time...

Re: Snif....Snif

He must have just got out of the shower (and still not sure), because that's the only way you can smell anything else after getting diesel on you.

But I did find that gas gets rid of that diesel smell.

yaric008...huh?

WorkToFish: you forgot the PSD mileage wars. I posted last year that someone would break the 30mpg mark with a post. I thought it would be with the 6.0. Well they're up to 28mpg so I'm pretty close. Same engine, same truck..one guy complains about getting 14 and the other braggs about getting 28. Sounds like a peeing contest to me. Otherwise Ford should be advertizing these numbers. They're making my eyes water.

Eveyone has heard about the few absolutes in the world, like death and taxes. Well, you can add a few more to those. A man will lie to you about his number of women and his gas mileage. javascript:void(0)

Re: Snif....Snif

I don't think there is any way you could talk me out of my GASSER. I love it! Now if I pulled a heavy trailer everyday then sure I would have gotten a Stroker but I don't. Just a race car once a week in the summer (when I'm home). Milage... what should I say here 12 empty 10 loaded, 80 on the highway and foot to the floor in town. I'm sure if you get an honest guy to tell you what he gets when he drives like I do then I'm sure his numbers would be around the 12-14 maybe 16 enpty. For the extra $5,000 I added a toy in the bed of my truck, You know the ATV kind. I'm not bagging on anybody that has a diesel I just LOVE my truck.
