Spark Plug M.I.A.

While I was checking my fluids last night, I started snooping around the engine bay. I quickly realized that I could not identify WHERE the spark plugs were located! Are they under the valve covers? Called my neighbor over to take a gander, he could not identify them either. The fuel rails are all we could see. What did we overlook?

Do I have a V10 diesel? With bad mileage?

Re: Spark Plug M.I.A.

I'll worry about WHERE they are after 100,00 miles. I couldn't see them either

No, I don't think we have diesels either. If we did we would be more than second class citizens here.

I like your sig, except for the Firebombs..uh..er...Stones

Maybe this pic will help. Here is a close-up of the coil.

Sorry, about the blurry photos

Re: Spark Plug M.I.A.

Gracias, Nomo. I thought those things were related to the injectors. Figured they couldn't be far. Looks easy to service.

Ever change plugs in a 73 V8 Maverick?? Tough stuff.

Outpost, I'm willing to ditch the Firestones if Ford ante's up for a different set!

Re: Spark Plug M.I.A.

Sorry about the "blurr". It's tough to take a picture when you're holding the camera out and away from your body. These trucks are just too dang tall!

Changing the plugs is pretty easy. Just bribe a friend into "helping". For me, it has to be a skinny friend. Takes about a 12-pack for a V8. I'm figuring a full case for the V10.

Outpost22 - I don't know how long it will take you to put 100k on your truck or what sort of climate you live in but if I were you I would break those badboys loose before 100k!
