Can the speed limiter be bypassed or raised?Mine will kick in at about 94. Would a aftermaket chip take care of this and if so what one is recommend. Also what are the other side effects of a chip good and bad?
JMO....DON"T EVER USE SUPERCHIPS IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE!!!!!!!
I do not know how they are with these trucks, but with my Cobra and everyone elses vehicle with a superchip, they are a waste of money unless they are custome tuned on a dyno. And even then, they're are better companies that use better software.
I don't have an oppinion either way on Superchips but there are tons of Ford fans over at f150online.com that swear by them. From what I've gathered, the Diablo and Superchips are nearly identical as far as function and advertised power.

The speed limiter is there for a reason. The tires on these trucks are not high speed rated and long speed at 100 or over can cause tire failure. Something I would not want to happen at the speed.
Also on chips. If you get a Street Legal chip it is going to make a differance of thousands of a second. And they can only change fuel delivery at full throttle. You could have bought a PSD for less than it would cost to get real usable power out of the gas engine.
