Well, amazingly, the new manifold arrived today and they put the new Y pipe on. Dealer told me that the flutter was gone. Went to pick it up and it didn't take me long to realize that it is NOT completely gone but is much better. Guys, there is something more to this flutter thing than the exhaust! I also noticed that the truck downshifts A LOT sooner on the pass that I drive over to get to Livingston. I think I can say that the new pipe does affect power.

Oh well, Lemon Law case is ready to go and I am pursuing a buy back. I still love the truck but I can't accept it when it's not completely fixed. Very dissapointing!

summitx, you're on the right track. There is
a lot more to flutter than simple miscalculations in placement of the exhaust
system components, but nobody will listen.
It is a conspiracy at the very least. Ford knows what the problem is and won't fix it.
Hell, maybe they can't! Scary.

In the meantime, I've been told I don't have flutter. It sounds to me like the dreaded flutter but my dealer says its a bad motor!
They've got a new one on order for me.

I, like you am very disappointed and wish I'd never seen this truck.
