Are you happy with the performance and sound of the Gibson exhaust??? I would like to here your opinions on it, is it worth the money?
Also on the Shelf-It overhead storage, do you notice any difference in visability out the front window with it??? I am fairly tall (6'3") and wonder if it would bother me while driving???
tsteve,
Honestly I cannot speak accurately on the performance of the Gibson exhaust. I installed it two days after I had the truck. I did not drive the truck long enough with the stock exhaust to be able to notice any difference. As far as sound goes, Gibson's setup is designed more for performance than sound. It does have a good sound to it, but not at all "loud" or "rumbling" if that's what you mean. Check out their products at www.gibsonperformance.com The Shelf-It does cut off a bit of visibility. A few stoplights in town if I am near the front I have to tilt my head down a tad to see when they turn green. Other than that it doesn't bother me, but I am only 5'10" Being the height you are I honestly do think you would have a problem with it. Maybe others can verify this to be correct or not?

Thanks for the reply. No I'm not looking for a loud exhaust, I actually think the factory exhaust on the V10 sounds pretty good (A little louder than most Fords in the past). So if the Gibson is not much different than factory, that would be great.
Like your site...has a lot of good information. The only thing I didn't like was the "John" this and "John" that. I think you mention your name way to often (31 times to be exact). Will make a person not want to read the whole thing.
Seems like you have a good line of accessories lined up! You should seperate your list into "accessories you have" and "accessories you plan on adding" so people know how far along you are in the process of customizing your truck to your liking.
Also, considering you got the majority of the options available with your truck why did you choose those itty bitty mirrors? Surely the trailer tow mirrors would have been the more satisfactory option for a crew cab long bed!? Your blind spot must be horrible!
Anyhow, good looking truck! You will really like the look of the fender trim when you get it on. In my opinion, nothing beats the look of chrome on a black truck!

Thanks for the compliments and the positive criticism. I made a few changwes, but haven't made much time to update my pictures. Just did it one day at work for S***'s & grins since at the time, I didn't find ANYTHING on SD's at all on the web. Now there are some nice web pages and pics out there...Also, I plan to install the telescoping mirrors (I waited for them!)
Too bad I spent $ on the signal jobs...

Thank YOU for understanding what "positive criticism" is! I am a pretty straight-forward person, and usually when I speak my mind people get bent out of shape about it. Glad to see you are different
So how much do the signal mirrors cost? Yes, it's too bad you spent the money on them now that you are thinking of upgrading to the TT mirrors. I'm sure you could find someone to buy your current ones though...you can post them in the "For Sale" section of F-D.com. Honestly, I ordered the standard mirrors as well at first, but when I found out for certain that the 2000's were going to have the telescoping feature, I changed my order.
Well, keep me posted on the progress of your truck! I am now looking into a flip-down LCD TV and VCR with all the extras. I've got a price of $1700...but that's if I install it myself. I'm going to talk to the distributor today to find out about the installation process. He already told me it's a pain is the a**! We shall see!

I am straight forward too and speak my mind. I don't care what people say or think, I have just learned to be honest and truthful about everything. It pays, believe me! I don't look at things too negatively, but good feedback helps. THANKS! I am going to the dealer tomorrow to look at some other things I want (Overhead console, etc.) I also want the TV/DVD/GPS and got a damn good price on it. Also was told that install was hard. I gues it is just who you talk to. Experience pays in that ballpark!
