Superchip and stuff

Will a Superchip alone give noticable/usable power or is it necessary to add (ie) K&N air system (or other brand..any work better than others?) and catback exhaust?

Will the SC give enough extra power to combat the 3.73/autotranny from downshifting as much as it does on even slight hills?

I don't know about the chip since I have not installed one, yet, but the exhaust and headers definately helped my truck to not downshift as often.

I have 2001 V10 F250 SD CC and only in overdrive pulling my TT (7300#'s) does it downshift. Take it out of OD and run the 1 to 1 ratio with trailer and the only downshifting it does is on major hills.

IMHO, forget the chip. On a gas engine, the chip doesn't provide a worthwhile benefit for the cost.
