Superchips 1815 ?

The Superchips #1815 is available for the 5.4 V8 I've got in my Ex. Stock the Ex is...lumbering to say the least and I'd like to hear what kind of results folks have got after installing the Superchips Paq. Is the power gain really noticeable? Mpg go up a little? Is it worth 400.00? Would it really make much of a difference for an 8000lb Excursion?

Thanks

Re: Superchips 1815 ?

Can't say about the 5.4 in an Excursion, but in my wifes '07 Lincoln LT, it made a big difference in power and shifting. This is the 3rd Superchip I've used on her 5.4's, the past were Expeditions and they worked great.

[/ QUOTE ] hay pappy19,see you went with the V10,smart move on your part,i'll most likely never ware my 7.3 out(64000 mile's) but if i did let it go i would do the same thing,to many issues with the new diesel's for this ole man, both my son's have /had 6.0's and i've seen enough, the 28 year old has his yet,the older son traded his for an expedtion just after the 100,000 mile's mark, mjstef on here, you may have seen his post's,ford diesel's are like our country, both have passed their peak and are sliding down hill fast and that from a guy that's had diesel's starting in 1965,a 282 cid in line 6 from IH in a tractor,1st diesel truck was a 1986 6.9 then a 1990 7.3 and now the 2007.3 and every one of them was/is ROCK solid out side of a glowplug controler or two, good luck with the V10,slide over to www.pickuptruck.com and read the graph's on the hill clime's.

Re: Superchips 1815 ?

Yo poppie, that was one awsome pickup test link. I am excited to get a V-10 and look forward to some testing on my own. Only about 5 weeks until it arrives, if the schedule is correct. I'll keep in touch.
