Re: Thinking Of Replacing Spark Plugs>>>

If you guys do decide to replace your plugs, make sure you buy good double platinum plugs. Autolite and Motorcraft are the only plugs I would use. Champions, IMHO, are not that great. Just be careful not to break the ignition wires when you pull them out. To break the seal between the plug and wire, twist the wire by the boot, then pull the wire by the boot straight up. When installing the new plugs, put a dab of anti-sieze on the threads. This will make it easier to take the plugs out the next time. Also make sure to put a dab of dielectric grease on the end of the wire boot. This will help prevent moisture from getting in and corroding the wire end.

Good Luck!

David

Wires?? We don't have no stinkin wires... The 5.4L and 6.8L engines have coil on plug ignitions. From what I've read about the 5.4L, the plugs are down deep. You'll need plenty of extentions and wobbles. Buy a tube of anti-seize too.

Sorry could not resist (pun intended). Getting a lot of snow here and there is no business and have read ALL the other forums. I will go back over to the bilge now. Bye bye.
