Hey guys. I just wanted to say that I think it is totally awesome that we are finally starting to get a dedicated following in this forum. The traffic has increased significantly in the last month and that kicks ass!
It used to be that I would check the board daily and only see 1 maybe 2 new posts a day. Let's keep it up and tell everyone we see with a gas superduty while we're out about to check out he site. It sure would be nice to have interaction with the V10 owners the way the PSD guys do with each other. :
There ought to be more traffic here than there is. If you have a bedliner question in a gas truck, they think it should go here instead of upgrades and aftermarket.
N2BOOST, I agree wholeheartedly! I quit the
site until just recently. I must disagree, though, with your last suggestion... if we interact with other V10 owners LIKE THE PSD GUYS DO i'm sure we'd be accused of being gay.

I think there is not that much traffic because we're just supposed to be talking about the gas part of our SD. You can see by the number of my posts (almost 100), most are not in this area. I like others spend a lot of time in the upgrades section for things such as lifts, tires, etc. These item are common on all SD's. The biggest thing us gassers seem to talk about is gas mileage, increasing power and of course the flutter.
In the upgrades section most of the diesel only talk will center around chips. We don't get to much chip talk here (I'm not going to spend that much on a small change in power, etc).
So I think we're doing it right. For me I just don't have to many questions about my v-10 except the flutter thing. But if I do i'll surely post them here. And of course i'll ALWAYS comment on something that I have some input on.
kd5hrm,
I'm not an admin and I'm not a big brother fan, but I have to agree with "them". Using your example a bedliner is the same for ALL sd's. Why not share it with ALL SD owners. Besides the biggest thing we have in common is we are SD owners, not what engine we have. And if your asking a question wouldn't you rather have the most responses possible to help your decision?
I'm all for more traffic here, don't get me wrong. It has been boring here at times and I'm glad the traffic is up. But it's "their" rules.
Rob
BTW if your interested in a new web site:
fordv10.com - taken
fordv-10.com - open
fordgassers.com - open
ford-v10.com - open
Really, you guys with the gassers aren't supposed to sumbit stuff to other forums like talking about a bedliner? I've seen plenty of guys post info/questions and theirs sig's indicate gassers.
And Knocker, you're just jealous because we could hook a chain up to your rig and tow you sideways.

See you don't see us talking like that. Us V-10 owners know that traction is more important than engine size when it comes to "tow you sideways". We also understand other things must be considered before we "tow you sideways". Actually my 8 year old daughter can "tow you sideways" given a proper setup. And bkino, I think your comment just confirms Knocker's comment, I'm sure he thanks you for it.
BTW bkino, what is a psd'er doing lurking around in the gas section. Sorry you won't find any soundprofing tips over here.
NoMo- No way bud, I'm saying quit being so hush hush and and talk a whole lot more!
kd5hrm- I know what your saying. This is a Superduty based site with emphasis on PSD powered vehicles or wait maybe I have it backwards, I just would like to think that the PSD guys aren't disregarding our general S/D related posts if they know we V10 owners. It sure seems that way though. It's funny because you surely will always get hit a "My truck will pull your truck down the street with your house connected to it!" response somewhere along the line. It's even funnier because I welcome those kind of challenges with open arms.
Knocker- This is true. My bad. LMAO
The bottom line fellas: V10 Superdutys kick ass for what we use em for and we've got a place to hang out rap about 'em. I like that. I know we tend to be sensitive to being picked on by the PSD guys but at least Ford-Diesel.com gives a place to get picked on!!!!! Thanks guys.
Let's keep the V10 forum flourishing.

Is it true? Is the end of flutter near?
"Weighs a ton and built to run."
(A little more) Seriously, though. I like both my Diesels but whenever it comes up I tell low annual mileage folks to seriously consider gas. All the points about maintenance, noise etc are mostly well-taken.
I ain't much into the manly torque thing but I could probably TOW your gasser (it in neutral, not pulling in some other direction) using less extra fuel than the gasser would use idling...
just my $0.02 worth of fun...
On Edit - forgot my sig!

Knocker...don't worry about Bkino's comment about pulling us sideways...he could only do that if his tranny doesn't melt or if his turbo bolts stay in place. Besides, his rear axle may have lost so much fluid by that point that it would lock up anyways...that's assuming he doesn't blow an intercooler hose first and pop loud enough for him to hit the brakes...that is if they still work because the steering wheel may be turned too far!
Oops....I'd better cool it before being accused of "flaming"
Thanks for your support. I've dealt with guys like bikini, bikino or whoever it was
many times before. After a heated debate I usually have to re-register and change my handle because I offended someone by stating FACTS (and other colorful language). I won't do that anymore. I learned my lesson... PSD guys can't take a joke and they have no respect for those of us who don't burn oil!
We are not welcome in their forums despite what they say in their warm and fuzziest posts. If we can use the gassers forum and
exchange some decent info, LETS KEEP IT UP!
The V10 is an awsome motor and the SD is the king of trucks!
