transmission tailshaft conversion

I have an '04 superduty that was 2wd. I bought a dana 60 front axle and am converting it to a straight axle. Now I need to figure out how to set up the transmission for 4 wheel drive. I really dont know much about transfer cases but i have done work on car transmissions. Can somone give me advice on the best way to handle this situation, I think i have two options, I can go ahead and and change the tailshaft and housing and bolt an np271 transfercase directly on(does anyone know the part numbers that go on a 4x4 for these pieces). Or i can get a divorced transfer case and i can go with any transfercase but i have to fabricate mounts and special driveshafts then. thanks in advance for your help.
