Re: Updated website

Once again, congrats on the new truck. Please keep us updated with performance data. And try not to have too much fun...

Dan

One question. What are you thoughts so far about the difference in the 3.73 and 4.3?

Re: Updated website

Thanks.

I like this truck more and more every day.

I think the 250 had more than just a vibration problem. This truck runs so much better than the last, I don't even notice the higher gearing.

Re: Updated website

Man parking is easy for me. I just park out in the back forty. I actually parallel parked mine the other day (2 tries). Turning is the big problem. Cut it hard and lock it up. Then back up and finish the turn. And forget the grass on the driveway. It's toast.

Re: Updated website

Yeah, back forty is the easiest. I've stabbed it into a couple of "regular" spots. It does take a couple of tries, though. Guess I know what it's like to drive a bus now.

The good thing about it being so big is that the wife doesn't like to drive it around town. Although, of the 750 miles on it, she put on about 500. Most of them this last Saturday on a trip to Wichita! Oh well, guess it's ready to tow this weekend. Can't wait!

Sorry- it's a throwback to my F150 days. Long-wide vs short-wide vs narrow beds. I need to realize that you can only get a wide-bed in a SD.

dan4x4 My truck has the 3.73 gears which are perfect for me - I don't tow much over 2k. I just took a trip to Key West pulling an enclosed, tandem axle, 5x10 trailer with my works Excusion. It must have 4.10 or 4.30 gears in it because it turned higher rpms than my truck would with 3.73s. If I did tow a lot in excess of 5k I would probably want the 4.30 gears and definitely the DRWs. Towing/hauling a heavy load with SRW is fine if you are the only one on the road; the problem is, there are so many yahoos out there that don't mind cutting you off or, worse yet, slamming on their brakes after they cut you off. I feel my blood pressure rising, I better go drive my SD
