V-10 Left mounted muffler and tailpipe?

Got the quote for a V-10 F450 and it has "Left mounted muffler" and "Left mounted tailpipe" in the quote. Does the V-10 have
the exhaust running down the drivers side of the truck? All the 450's at the dealer are PSD's and they all use the passenger side.
The concern is that I am making a 450 p/u for my camper and I need a side mounted aftermarket fuel tank so I can carry a spare in place of
the std. rear tank. All the p/u bodies I have seen both new and used have the filler door/doors on the drivers side. What gives?

Re: V-10 Left mounted muffler and tailpipe?

I've got an '02 F-550 4x4 with the V-10 and the pipe is on the pass. side. I had a '99 F-550 with a PSD, on the right side also. Man that engine was a POS! I've had four 7.3 PSD....then I saw the light! I have a V-10 in my '01 F-250 4X4 CC also...great engine!

Re: V-10 Left mounted muffler and tailpipe?

Thanks for the info. I can't believe the exhaust would be on the drivers side but I will go down to the dealer tomorrow morning to
find out what the quote is referring to. Trying to build up my own truck is stressful enough without them throwing curves at me like
this.
