V10 exhaust sound clips

I have decided to trade my 05 F350 dually with the 6.0 diesel for a 2008 single rear wheel with v10. I always change out the exhaust on my trucks and was wondering how the v10 sounds with different exhaust systems. Any input would be appreciated.

Re: V10 exhaust sound clips

It's a loud "ricer" roar kinda sound. Some like it, some don't. Performance wise there isn't much to be gained.

Re: V10 exhaust sound clips

I have always been one to change out the exhaust also. So I figured I would do the same on my V-10...until I did some research. Not much power to be gained. And the sound has been described as BUSY, RISER, or INDY CAR sound. I guess this makes sense given the fire cycle of a V-10 motor. So for now silence is golden.

Re: V10 exhaust sound clips

well i dunno bout yall but my truck has a nice sounding "burble" its not as distinguished as a v8 but its definately no ricer either. i think muffler choice is the key anything with a decent baffle and you shouldnt have trouble getting a good audible tone. i went with magnaflow and havent regretted a day of it.

Re: V10 exhaust sound clips

I have a Aero Turbine stainless steel muffler and it sounds good. Go to their website and listen for yourself. I will try to figure out how to make and post a sound clip from mine.
