Vac. Brakes vs. Hydroboost brakes

This is just a question for those of you that went from a Power Stroke to V-10 and for those that have only run the V-10 or 5.4 liter. The reason I ask this is because the Job 3 6.4's are supposed to have vacuume (spelling) brakes. Are the V-10 brakes as strong as the hydroboost Power Stroke brakes? The switch just makes me lean more towards the V-10. And, you can modify the exhaust a little on the V-10 to get some sound out of it.

Mainly, are you guys happy with the V-10 brakes?

Re: Vac. Brakes vs. Hydroboost brakes

I went from a '99 PSD to the V-10. The brakes seem to have just as much stopping power, but do feel different. The pedal on the V-10 seems softer, but that could be any number of reasons, '99 vs '05, F-350 vs F-250, 250K vs 20K miles, 2X4 vs 4X4. So I am really not comparing apples to apples but I am just as happy with the braking between the 2.

Re: Vac. Brakes vs. Hydroboost brakes

I've never heard any complaints about weak brakes while turning at low speed from V-10 owners like I've heard from the diesel owners. Personally, I've got no complaints about my brakes at any speed.
