Various V-10s? - Diesel Forum

I was crawling around looking under the truck last night and spotted a sticker on the heads that said "Regular Duty 6.8L". Are there non-"Regular Duty" V-10 engines?

I believe that "regular duty" refers to all of the V10's being utilized in the Superduty F & E series platforms.

Ford also has a CNG (compressed natural gas) V10 as well as an industrial V10 that never sees auto motive use. This is probably how the describe/identify the variations.

I would assume that's what it means. Could be wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time and definitely won't be the last.LOL Take care.
