Re: Vibration caused by??

I has a similar problem when my truck was new. Turned out the torque tube (drive shaft) was out of balance, so it was replaced under warranty. Problem was solved.

HTH,

Welcome to the site newbie!

NoMo, does this sound like the vibration you had in your original truck that was never found?

Vibration caused by??

I have a 2002 f250 sd, sc, 4x4, v10, 4.30, camper package, lwb and am experiencing vibrations only at 40 to 45 mph. I've been through a set of goodyear ats's (returned and sold to another duper duty with no problems). Went to a set of BF goodrich all terrains which I had on my 2000 super duty with no problem. The dealer tried swapping out tires and rebalancing, etc. with no luck.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?
The vibration seems to be from the rear. The tire guy suggested asking ford to check the pinion angle.

Also are there any other forums for exchange of info on the super duty? Thanks in advance.

Re: Vibration caused by??

Thanks for the replies! I will mention this to the service dept. next week.

Are there any other active forums for the Super Duty? I used to go to Edmunds but there is not much activity lately.
