weird exhaust tick on 08...

Truck has tons of power, however when accelerating at anything more than 1/3 throttle it makes a noise that sounds suspiciously like an exhaust leak from the driver's side. I looked underneath and did not see anything obvious. Also after I stopped, it was making a pretty loud rattling noise that you could hear mainly through the fender well and sounded like it was under the front of the driver's valve cover, so I took it to the dealer, by the time I got there the noise was gone and has not repeated itself. The service guy told me it could have been the variable valve timing gimmick sticking due to being a new engine and cold out, but I did not think this motor had VVT.

In doing some research, the noise seems to be caused by the shape of the Y pipe, causing a sort of pinging noise. The only other thing I need to figure out is what the rattle was when I had the hood up, sounded like directly under the front of the valve cover, but that might have just been the angle I was at. I'm going to let the truck break in before I take tot he dealer, that way they're not letting it idle excessively and whatnot on a fresh motor.
