at about 3,000 miles i put mobil 1 syn. oil and the mobil 1 filter, how many miles you guys running the v-10 before changing it again?

I still change every 3000 even though I run a semisynthetic and could probably go 5-6000 easy. I've always done this on all of my vehicles, 24+years, and have never had an engine problem due to wear issues. Many of my friends run up to 10k on full synthetic and I've yet to hear of a problem. I guess it comes down to how much you trust what the oil companies tell you about synthetics.

what i usally do is put 3 quarts of oil and three cans of stp oil treatment in my truck. it knocks for a while but then she smoothes out. i usually change about every 8 or 9 thousand miles.
