Wider tires

Does anyone have a wider tires on their truck? What size are the tires and rim? I'm running 35x12.5x16's on my F250 with a 4" lift. I would like to put wider tires on it. Is this possible?

Re: Wider tires

Of course. How wide would you like to go. Dick Cepek is probably the widest I've seen. They offer their Fun Country Radial in 33x16.5 and 33x14.5. Mickey Thompson also has pretty wide 33x14.5, and 36x14.5 in their Baja Belted. I have a set of Baja Belteds in 39x18.5, which I had mounted on 12" wide wheels with no problem.

Re: Wider tires

Sorry I forgot to say. The tire I have on my truck now are on a set of 16.5x9.75 rims. I would like to stay with 35's, but around 14" wide. Without rubbing on the truck.
What lift to you have?

Re: Wider tires

The 39x18.5 Mickeys I had were on my old '82 Bronco, which I sold last year. it had 9" of lift, and Bushwacker cutout fender flares, which was just about enough not to rub. I'm not sure how wide or tall you can go with only 4" of lift. I know someone with 3" of lift that is rubbing with 35x12.5 tires, and I don't know if one more inch buys you all that much more clearance. Try reposting your question in Upgrades and Aftermarket, you'll get a lot more replies there.

Re: Wider tires

4x4, you may have seen me

2hi, check out my truck's tire/wheel combo in the sig below. I think you'll have to lift it more than 4" if going wider than 12" on the tires.

Hope this helps! Keith.
