It's the 2nd Annual Charity Truck Pull. It will be held on Oct. 8th in New Lexington, OH (it was in Glenford last year, but we ran out of room).
They'll be food & fun for the whole family!

Gates Open: 9:00 AM Vendor Displays

Kid's Activities: 9:30 am-1:00 PM Petting Zoo, Bounce House and more. Free with paid admission to the pull.

Dyno Runs: 10:00 AM
There will be contests for guessing closest to their horsepower and torque in Ford, Chevy, Dodge. The prize is a hat and t-shirt from CDS. Also the truck with the most HP and torque will receive a trophy.

SHOW & SHINE: $5.00 entry fee. All entries welcome!
11:00-12:00 setup your vehicle
12:00-1:30 Voting
1:45 Results will be announced right before the pull starts. There will be trophies for: Best Dodge, Best Ford, Best Chevy & Best of Show. Trophies will be awarded by popular vote.

The Keating Machine Drag Truck powered by a 5.9 Cummins will be on display!

I missed last year`s event due to not knowing about it. However, I will be at this one.

We need Powerstrokes and Duramax trucks to show up in force. Right now it looks like the Duramax fans will be happy. Michael Tomac out of Michigan, Ryan U. from KY, and the Crank it up diesel trucks all may be there. Lets get some Ford`s out there as well.

Don't know you know how high the price of diesel is in town, hopefully get to meet you there looks like a fun day with my little boy he loves truck pulls. The other day we got in the truck and he told me he wanted to see smoke in the mirror well not under standing what he wanted I asked my wife and she said that he wanted me to blow alittle smoke out so he could watch it in the side mirror. I asked her were he got this from and she just grinned and said I like driving a diesel to. Got to love her [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I've heard through the grapevine that some of the local hometown boys have been burning the midnight oil. I think they want bragging rights and the 3' trophy!

Pullers make sure you pay close attention to the line up! We are pulling 2 sessions. The first one starts at 2:00 ( 6500 lb Pro Street Gas Trucks, 7500 lb Street Stock Diesel Trucks, 8000 lb Pro Stock Diesel Trucks & Hot Farm Tractors) and the second at 7:00 (8000 lb Super Stock Diesel Trucks, 8000 lb Run What You Brung (gas/diesel) & Hot Semi Trucks).

We've had several calls on campgrounds in area. Here is the info:
There is a campgrounds 4 miles from the fairgrounds. We've never been there, but they were very helpful when I called them this morning. It's called Perry Trails Campground. It's $5.00 for primitive and $12.00 for electric. You can contact them directly at 740 342-2449.

The Fair ground also has camping spots, I don't know anything about it, but every year during the Fair, there are dozens of campers scattered about.

UPDATE 10/7/05 (8:25 PM) WE JUST GOT BACK FROM THE FAIRGROUNDS AND THE PULL IS STILL ON FOR TOMORROW. THE TRACK HAS A GOOD CROWN ON IT AND THE LITTLE RAIN WE DID GET DIDN'T STAY ON THE TRACK.
SINCE WE ARE AT THE FAIRGROUNDS THIS YEAR THERE IS PLENTY OF GOOD PARKING.

What a terrible day. Drove three hours in the rain to get there. It was supposed to clear off with like a 20 percent chance of rain, no luck. I don't think the temps got above the lower 50's all day.
While all the trucks piled in and we waited on the weather and track prep I did get on the DynoJet. I made 404.4 hp and 810.9 tq. The graph looks like stair steps, oh well. A friend took home a trophe for high hp with a Dsmack. It made 456.
The rain stoped long enough to grade the track and get started. The gassers ran first. As the 7500 lb diesel class got started the misty rain did too. The top half of the field had fair track conditions and the rain came harder. There was like 48 trucks in this class. I was somewere around 40th to pull. At that point it was hopeless. Never stuck around for results. I heard the anouncer say 220 and 2. At the end of the pull the flagman just smiled, shruged his shoulders and looked up to the sky. I had to pull with the wipers and defroster on.
Had the weather been nice it would have been a great event. I couldn't believe how many pullers and spectators stuck around in these conditions.
Thank you to those that worked so hard to put on this event. Maybe next year will be better for the event and Round Lake Christian Assembly. See you next time.

Hp is about right TQ is off, I made with my stock charger 410 and 920ftlbs and no fuel system mods
