Alaska diesel gathering

Well got moose, salmon, and halibit in freezer. The last load of gravel for driveway hauled, trees cut and footings for early spring deck project in. Snowblower is up and running sooooooo, looks like it is time for the Ford diesel projects to begin. I stopped by Johns house today and scored a plow for the ATV, while we were yacking he said we should have a sit down over brew and food to figure out some plans for upcomming projects!!! I need to rebuild front axle including a ABR locker and may redo fuel system, Shane and I are looking for a plow for his 94 F250. Who knows what Kevin has planned for his truck, and I heard a story about a high power white truck on a flat bed, so who knows what that needs
I should be open next few weekends so lets get feedback on good time and place to meet just to tell lies and plan some mod days.

I'M IN

We can do side-by-side front axle work. WANNA RACE??

I've been thinking about biodiesel also, so maybe we can all jaw about that when we get together.

Just about any weekend would be OK with me. You can pick.

Can you believe I sucked in some air from the fuel tank and caused an air-lock. I guess I need to get my fuel-sending unit fixed, lol.
I'm in but with buying a house and now my house is on the market (show and shine) I'm limited on time but I'll try to be there.

Re: Alaska diesel gathering

Jim
Larry just called we will be working on his truck at my place on Sunday. Looks like we have a place to meet. Everyone is welcome to stop by and hang out, wrench, or just BS. If anyone needs directions just let me know. What is a good time for everyone to stop by for a general BS session.

Re: Alaska diesel gathering

Oh how I wish I could join you guy just to meet all of you! My rebuild the engine project is going to end up taking me all winter. I plan to head up Memorial day weekend and stay for a month...maybe longer if I can figure out how to get time off from work.

Anytime during the summer, if you guys head out to Clam Gulch to go clamming or just goofing off, be sure to stop by and see if I'm around. My place is the left side of the gulch, opposite the campground as you are driving down the hill to the beach.

My next door neighbor there has a cummins 12 valve that he bought some bigger injectors for after I let him drive my excursion once a year ago. So I have to stay ahead of that game with him...and the more of us that do, the better!

Re: Alaska diesel gathering

Change in plans!! Kevin has seen me work on trucks before and he is thinks walking to work monday is a bad plan. So we will start on his truck on SAT at 1200 We can still have a get together at my place on Sundat at 1200. Everyone is welcome to stop by to wrench or just BS. Kevin is looking for anyone that wants to try a Biodiesel project.

Re: Alaska diesel gathering

Had a fun day today doing my front axle u-joints (see post in 7.3L Engine & Drivetrain). Going after the front pinion seal tomorrow starting at 10 AM. (I guess I need the excercise in walking to work on Monday, after all )

Come on by Denny's place and supervise.

We can talk about biodiesel or future mod days also.
