Sunday May 8th "Test and Tune" Practice only (it’s a lot of fun and good practice) Wed May 25th "First race of a 3 race series for diesel trucks". Come on, we need a lot of you guys to participate Wed June 15th "Test and Tune" Wed June 22nd "Second Race" Wed July 13th "Test and Tune" Wed July 20th "Last Race!!!"
This is not an all out drag race, it’s about consistency, and a 17-sec. truck CAN beat a 14-sec. Truck. The idea is to match your time closer then the other guy can match his. It will be a whole lot of fun and we should have a few wives racing also. This is a family event and a whole lot of fun and a chance for some legal racing.
Now, on test and tune nights, If you want to run a friend for an all out “who’s faster” race, you can and we have as a matter a fact I think there is still some “rubbing it in” going on [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]!! On test and tune you get as many runs as you can fit into a 3-hour time span (about 15-18 runs)for 20 bucks. Remember, the guys that are racing in this are racing their daily drivers and there are plenty of folks there to help if you have any questions to squeeze a few more HP out of your rig.
All that’s required is a Valid Drivers Lic., DOT approved Helmet (I use my dirt-bike helmet), Long sleeve shirt or jacket, No hubcaps and ALL of your lug nuts/studs have to be on. Any questions please call me at 257-9627 Day or 360-3933 cell.

I see Jim has it posted as "3 race series for diesel trucks" but the Alaska Raceway has it listed as "Truck Performance Night". I think some of the high performance gassers may just whoop the heck out of the Diesels [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img].

I set it up with the Manager the other day. I told him I wanted to be in a class by ourselves so we set it up like this and there will be 3 class running each night:
1 2WD gas
2 4WD gas
3 Diesel truck's
Don't worry, you don't think I'd sponsor a race and let a bunch of "High Test teens" ruin our fun do ya [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img].
The best part of all of this is I got him to drop the entry fee on race days down from 60 bucks to 25 bucks. I told him to cut the prize money and we will only play for trophies [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. Now if I get a bunch of PM’s about wanting prize money and don’t mind paying 60 bucks I will but I think having to pay 60 bucks will keep pertisapatation down and we don’t want that. Let me know what you think.
On the first test and tune I will be there early to give anyone with questions about the track, staging etc. Now this isen't some learn from the expert stuff [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] but just to give you a little idea of whats going on and whats what on the track for safty reasions.
Also, they will have the Ak Raceway web site updated in the next few days.

I picked up a H2E. It is overkill for the injectors I have now but if I upgrade it will be just right. I have a early 99 so I needed new plumbing anyway. I need to get a few projects done so I can get to the turbo.

Denny the truck is running great. I usually run it on level 3. I got my best mpg this last tank. 12.9mpg unloaded. I have had my foot in it a few times too [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif[/img]
I just changed the fuel filter yesterday. Man that thing was black [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]
I don't know what the previous owner was thinking.
