Bethlehem sounds good my friends father is the VP. there maybe he could help. I was also thinking of Black Rock State Park in Thomaston or The Camp over in Watertown on Smith Pond Road. Give me time to think of more.

I can vouch for the Lake George RV Park, since it is only about 7 minutes from my house. The Lake george area is very nice offering everything from horseback riding, rodeos, the Great Escape Amusement Park (part of Six Flags) boat rentals, parasailing, hiking, etc. etc. etc.
There is also a vast expanse of State and Private campgrounds available, with the one in Lake Luzerne having horse facilities. There is literally so much to do, you could never cover it all in a summer.
The downside is that is extremely busy from July 01 to Labor day. You will HAVE to call about availability, since most events are booked at least a year in advance and most weekends have something going on from Memorial day tup to almost October to include Americade, Car shows, Firemen conventions, etc.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a trip to Maine, myself.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Connecticut is part of Ford 2 diffrent sales ones. 1 Being the New England sales zone and the othere being Tri-State zone conisting of Litchfield, Fairfield, New Haven counties of CT. NY. & NJ.. So that is the explnation to your tri-state question. Where Ford_Turbo_Diesel and I live are in the Tri-State Zone.

Just talked to Bethlehem Fair people and its do-able.
Need #'s of people and needs...buildings, garbage and food.
I've e-mailed a few past Rally holders and am waiting for some replies.
Best time for the fair people is June till mid Aug. They said camp hookups are being put in now and may be ready soon.
I'm looking into sponsors now, we have a bunch of people around...Jannetti....Litchfield Ford....how big should we go....is there enough people interested?

We need a computer genius like Cliff or Carpentractor (Keith) to set up web site.
I am a Plumber and can only tell you which way $*** flows. (down hill)
How big should this get...one day or two?
My original intention was a bunch of guys (within 1-2 hrs. driving time) stand around at a State Park and smell diesel fumes, now its getting interesting.

For those who want to check out a possibility, I e-mailed some info for the weekend of Sept 8-10 at the 1000 Acres Ranch Resort. They had a group back out for that weekend, and the ranch is available, although probably not for long. It is 15 minutes from Lake George, for those of you who know where that is. There is a slew of campgrounds in the area for those who drag their homes with them, they have an adjoining 7 acre field for an expo, and can accomodate just about anything we want, including a banquet or barbeque.
Rather than tell you what they have, you can log onto their website. I talked to the owner, and he was very enthusiastic.
Believe me it doesn't take a genius to set up a site. I can vouch for that.
I will set up a site for this event if you would like. I will do it tonite after 9 pm.
Just e-mail me what you want to say and I will have it done for you at no cost!!!!
I will need (a) point(s) of contact for those in charge of running it and directions to the event site. It would be great if the event site had a site then I could link that on the page too.... Need a date too..
BTW if you go to Ford turbo diesel's profile you will find the correct e mail address. For some reason the computer does not transfer the underscore to the e mail page. Anyway, John's e mail address is turbo_diesel@prodigy.net You will have to cut and paste it as the computer will remove the underscore giving you an error.
Keith

I just read Jasons Rally suggestion post and am re-thinking this whole thing.
I'll need to get a thumbs up from all who want to go and we have to nail down a site.
I think August looks like the best month, any input?
Thanking you in advance, John

Tupper Lake in northern NY right in the heart of the Adrondack Mountains. Its not far from Canada. The town has a large park that is avilabile for events like this and is right on the water with camping avilable there and in surronding areas. There are some good mountain road miles to be had getting there. I'm sure my old 88 7.3 could make it that far.
