I believed that I picked up some more ringers, I mean more people...

Maybe my son will come out and play as well..

I believe we will have plenty of people out there..

Are we going to start at 6PM???

Do we need to be there before 6PM???

Lets do it...

Re: Austin/CTFD Cart race event

Brian - just saw the link after some searching.

Did a little recon on Bio - seemes like a lot of worry for little benefit - except for the environment. Also, the heat index is 5% less than dino

Ford says no more than 5%. Also, it acts like a solvent and will clean the gunk out of your sytem and plug filters, so keep an eye out.

Read a bunch of stuff ont he national Bio web site - just doesn't look worth it..

Any other thoughts on Bio - I'm just learning.

Re: Austin/CTFD Cart race event

I was mainly thinking about trying biodiesel for a few reasons:
-Domestic product, if we can get domestic fuel I figure it's better for all of us and the more it's used the more the price should come down (currently $2.85/gal).
-Reduction in harmful emissions.
-I've heard that it may quite down the engine some and make it run smoother, just wanted to test this out.
-I figure the cleaned out fuel system couldn't be a bad thing.

I only plan on running it blened with regular diesel for now. I figure with a 25 gallon fillup and #2 being $1.50/gal, the price isn't too bad:
B5 blend: $1.57/gal
B20 blend: $1.77/gal

Here's the email I got about their location:

[ QUOTE ]
Hello,
I appreciate the interest in biodiesel. We sell the fuel out of our shop in South Austin.
Take I-35 South to Slaughter Lane.* Turn left (East) on Slaughter past the U-Haul and drive about 1 mile until it dead ends into Old Lockhart Road.* Turn Right(South) on Old Lockhart Road and look for a sign on the right for ALEM body shop.* We are in Space #3A. Just yesterday, we sold 12 gallons to a Ford Powerstroke owner.
please come by and see us.
You may want to contact Jeff and set up a date/time as we are not always out there. * Give him or me a call at 825-1211.
Thanks!

Re: Austin/CTFD Cart race event

I haven't been on here for a while (been moving ), but we're still on for Saturday at 6:00. We get the track to ourselves, and it costs $18 per race for the first two then $5 for a third. You can race as many or as few times as you want.

There are several restaraunts close by:
Chili's, Friday's, El Chico, Fuddrucker's, CiCi's Pizza, Outback Steakhouse, and many more.

See y'all there!!

Mark

Re: Austin/CTFD Cart race event

C'mon Tom, you can't back out now! You gotta come, it's bound to be a great evening.

I will definitely show up but can't guarantee I'll be honking the Grovers on my big baby. I might bring only my small baby cuz I'm currently messing with the 'jectors, trying to get them to work right.
