Hello all,
whens the next pull, anyone know?
I pulled there with 35x10.50x16 Boggers (Grave Diggers lol)last summer.......Pulled a total of 276 feet on stock 7.3 motor and exhaust.....
I'd like to test my 37" P.J. Dirt Gripz out if theres another pull scheduled........
Mike, In my Excusion I had to take out the spare tire, tool box,and third seat...that put me at 8120...They said that was OK for weight.
lil superduty, The next event is on Sep 8. It will again be nothing but Fords, Dodges, and Chevy's. Show/Shine, Pullin, Drags, and Tug-of-War registration is at 3:30pm-5:30pm
I think my prob. was the big wheels and the kelderman kit on the rear. The fuel tank in the bed was bone dry.

i might not do the pulls, just the tug of war. i do them all the time out here in ohio. figured out the truck and how to do it. no throttle. just idle and she crawls away. are they on dirt or concrete? the ones out here are on concrete. dirt is different, need throttle.

So whats the deal with hitches/pintle hitches....When I pulled last summer they wouldnt let me use my Pintle hitch and clevis, so I had to borrow a setup from a guy in a older dodge cummins that just finished.............Is there a spec? I know my pintle hitch should meet the spec...it weighs around 30 lbs.............
Cowkiller...I just noticed from my neck of the woods...The tug-of-war is on pretty hard packed dirt...everytime I been at the Buck their track is very hard packed.
Lil Superduty, The hitch rulls for the Buck are it must be 3" inside diameter(mine was 2.5" and the sled hook barely fit)it must be no higher than 26" off the ground(they did check every truck)and must be horizontal to the ground(there was alot of trucks that just used a twisted 3/4" or 1" clevis...Half the guys there(including me) didn't have their hitches to all these specs but they where allowed to pull.
HERE is the Buck web sites Competetors Corner section with more info.
I can just imagine building the Ex stronger. Seeing it pouring out loads of black smoke. Almost time for another breakfast GTG after school starts. Keith
