Re: CALIFORNIA CLUBS?

I dont know if there are any official clubs, but the so cal guys are getting together this Sunday at sunrise Ford in Fontana. They are running the dyno and cooking up some dogs and burgers for us. If there isn't one already maybe we can start one this Sunday. All the info is in this section under so. cal. dyno day.

Re: CALIFORNIA CLUBS?

There isn't a "club" that is official.

But I don't see why we shouldn't have one like the have in Texas and the Northeast.

Re: CALIFORNIA CLUBS?

HEY GUYS IF YOU ALL ARE SERIOUS I CAN START DIGGIN FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO BECOME A LEGITAMATE CLUB...IVE DONE IT BEFORE, BACK WHEN I WAS "YOUNGER" AND WHEN THOUGHT PROCESSES WERE HANDLED BY ANOTHER BODY EXTREMITY!

WHAT ARE YOUR IDEAS ON WHAT A CLUB SHOULD BE. STRICT, LAX, DUES, NO DUES, POWERSTROKES ONLY, POWERSTROKES AND IDI'S, ALL FORD, ANY MAKE...ETC. I PERSONALLY WOULD LIKE A RATHER LAX ONE WITH DUES AND PERHAPS MEETINGS ONCE EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS OR "TO BE ANNOUNCED" MEETINGS. FORGOT TO MENTION ALL FORD POWERSTROKES AND MAYBE IDI'S. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE WORD "POWERSTROKE" IN THE CLUB NAME.

I PERSONALLY AM NO DIESEL GURU I WOULDNT HAVE MUCH TO OFFER ACCEPT THAT I THIRST FOR MORE DIESEL KNOWLEDGE AND WOULD LIKE TO HANG AROUND OTHERS WITH THE SAME INTERESTS!

I WOULD LIKE TO JOIN A CLUB, AND BE A REGULAR MEMBER, RATHER THAN START ONE, BUT APPARENTLY THERE ARE NONE IN SO. CAL. SO PERHAPS MAYBE WE SHOULD TRY TO GET ONE STARTED. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?....IM GETTING EXCITED BOUT THIS!! ....THANKS ...ROB

P.S. IM NOT SHOUTING, SO STOP THE "OUCHEEE MY EARS ARE HURTING!" THING. THIS WAY I DONT HAVE TO USE THAT DARN "SHIFT" KEY.

Re: CALIFORNIA CLUBS?

If its is a Ford with a Navistar diesel in it......it should be part of the club.

As for dues....lets try and keep it free at least at first, and t-shirts, hats, etc and events will be a "pay as you go" kind of thing.

Much like the "Diesel Gustapo" meetings in North. Calif....every couple of months or so....a bunch of guys meet up for dinner or bbq, hang out, shoot the "dung", have a good ol' time. Would be nice to have that here....so that I am not driving up north all the time.

The "The Southern California Powerstroke Diesel Federation"....

Re: CALIFORNIA CLUBS?

Anyway we can make the meetings a little more north in southern CA? Super F-350, Knuckledragger, and I are stuck in Central CA with long drives either way (North or South). I went to Fontana, but sheesh, lets try not to make it so far next time and I will be an avid member! Be great to have a club, I was thinking of starting my own here in Fresno, just seems that not a lot of people on the site are from this area. Thanks

Re: CALIFORNIA CLUBS?

I'm with Max.

Lets keep it free and open at first to see how it develops.

As for location..... Well... CA is a big state. Maybe we can have 2-3 local chapters, all under one logo. Then have an annual meeting where we all get together, held over a weekend!

Just thinking out loud.
