Diesel Dyno Day - Portland, Oregon Area

Hello all, I thought I would spread the word around. Here is what is posted on other boards...

I posted this on some of the other diesel sites so I thought I would let you guys in. Here is what has been posted...

Fast Specialties - Diesel Dyno Day - April 16th 9:30am - 4:00pm or so...

Here are the details of the event.

It is a Mustang Dyno MD-1750 1750hp capable load inertia dyno. It will be $45.00 for 2 pulls, base hp and torque readings. We will open up at 9:30am until usually 4:00pm, but we have been known to go later. It is on a first come first serve basis, the trucks unless requested will go in order of sign up. We generally put on some kind of food... any suggestions?

Check out the site : www.fastspecialties.com (try to sign the guestbook if you can)

Re: Diesel Dyno Day - Portland, Oregon Area

Well BD is haveing their anual dyno day up in Abbotsford on the 23rd and the NHRDA drag raceses are up in Mission BC on the 16th nd 17th so you are kind of competeing with those events. I will be in mission on the 16th defending my points leas so I won't be able to make it there. It's really hard to get any Ford guys going around here on stuff like this. I see you have a post on the bombers site. I bet you get a few of them showing up!

Re: Diesel Dyno Day - Portland, Oregon Area

I really don't know. I kinda think it is because the majority of the guys that buy diesel trucks to mod them and make them go fast and dyno big numbers know the Cummins is the engine to get to do that so they all get the Dodges. Most of the Ford guys seem to use their trucks for work or have gotten crew cabs to haul the family around in and aren't interested in the dyno/drag race/diesel modification stuff. I've been trying to get the Blue Oval Diesel club up and running for about 2 years now and we will have spurts where there will be a few guys show up for a meeting or two then they ***** that they have to drive more than 20 miles to get to a meeting even tough I try to make them as centrally located as I can or have one up north then the next down south. You just can't make them happy. The funny thing is that there is usually 3 people that make it to all the meetings and one comes from clear on the other side of the sound in Bremerton. Yet someone from Lynnwood can't seem to make a meeting in South Center or someone from Renton can't make one in Mill Creek because it is just to far to drive. Re: Diesel Dyno Day - Portland, Oregon Area

Well that really stinks. I would rather see a tricked out high hp Ford than any other brand around. Maybe catch a couple of them there, but it does seem like the NW Bombers are going to be the majority.

Re: Diesel Dyno Day - Portland, Oregon Area

yup that seems to be the way it goes around here. You should come up to the drag races when you can! It was a blast last weekend. The next one is up in Mission, BC but I think the one after that is at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA.

I keep hearing about the mysterious Dodge. I never did get to see it and I frequent the strip very often.
