Dyno's in MD?

I didnt know where to put this question. i thought maybe here cos maybe if there were enough people in MD interested we could all make a day of it. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get my truck dyno'd? I have never been to a dyno so I know nothing about it, I just wanted to see what my truck was putting down. Also i didnt know if it would be a problem getting my F-450 dyno'd in the first place. thanks all.

Re: Dyno's in MD?

I assume you mean chassis dyno and not engine dyno? Engine dyno-ing is fun intially, but can get tedious in a hurry. Went thru it with 3 different engines. Chassis dyno-ing is kinda brutal looking, never have done that one myself. I know of a chassis dyno in Virginia at a race shop, but nothing near to where you are. By the way, an old and dear friend of ours lives in Glen Burnie, Brian Baker, aka Mongo. His family has lived there for years....his dad, Jack Baker, was quite a guy and just passed away recently. Had a CanAm and Pontiac funeral procession.

You can also sometimes find a chassis dyno on summer weekend events at your local dragstrip. Good luck.

Re: Dyno's in MD?

There is a dyno event coming up at Kauffman Motorsports sometime in April I think, search back through this section a bit and you should find it. Kauffmans is in Dillsburg so it shouldn't be too far for you. Forget about making it a day, it is a weekend Don't know about the 450, if it's a dually I sort of remember someone saying you have to take the outside wheels off but don't quote me on that.
