MI rally yes or no??

I checked into Dome World for a rally. The facilities are perfect for an event. The web site is www.domeworld.com Located south of Grand Rapids just off US131, exit 75. There is plenty of activities for all ages. They can cater a lunch/dinner for about 9.50 per person. The campground has 26 sites @ $21.00 a day, Hotels,Motels very close.

Do we want to do this? If so I will take charge. I will need help with registration, name tags, planning door prizes.... Dome world is about 4 miles from my house so I can go in ther in person to set things up. They have the weekend of Sept 1-3 or 15-18. Do we want to keep it simple and just plan somthing for Saturday like a lunch, door prizes, and a vendor install of some guages or somthing like that??? Leave plenty of time for just hangin out and swaping stories.

What do you think???

Any vendors interested in coming/sponsering/doorprizes, chime in!!

Edit: BTW just realized Sept 1-3 is Labor day weekend.

I would love to attend either weekend, I live in Jackson , mi. I could get a hold a couple of vendors local about chips and other things this guy does <Pauls hi performance>, Just drop me a line if anyone needs anything , aslo I could hand out flyiers(?).There will be at least 3 in my party:-)

I would opt for the Sept 15th weekend.. Would be camping and would have my wife and probably my 18 month grandaughter with me.

You can count me in. The weekend of the 15th would probably be a little better. It should be my nephew and me (John Conway), and we'll stay in a motel. The more vendors the better!!!

Come on people, I was hoping for a little more response. This is not going to be the biggest event, but we need a few more replys before I can book anything. IL, IN, OH let hear from you. The site location is only about 1 1/2 hr from the IN border.

Let me reiterate:

Yes I'm in.

If someone local (in MI) takes charge, I am willing to lend all the help I can, but I live 200 miles away. Maybe contacting vendors or something like that. It's just the local stuff I can't help with.

I would probably stay in a motel, but I may be able to borrow a RV.

Somebody step up to ramrod this soiree and I'll help.

Can I be any clearer? Hey, even if all we get is 10-15 guys, it is a start. The GM Diesel Rendevous started with that many. Even Sturgis started with a handful of hawgs. Next year will be better. We're not looking for Woodstock on the first try. Just the hardest of the hard core.
