The Official Southern California Dyno Day...February 9th, 2003 (Follow Up)
Great day!! Met a bunch of nice people, had a good barbecue lunch, got a chance to win stuff at a raffle, and got my truck dynoed!! All free!!
Big thanks to Sunrise Ford, Bobby Williams, and all those who set this up and helped at the event!!
I took some random digital photo's during the day. No particular reason for the trucks I happened to photo (except for my own...Photographer's privilege).

Re: The Official Southern California Dyno Day...February 9th, 2003 (Follow Up)
I just wanted to add my thanks for the good time yesterday.
And a big thank you to Bobby Williams and Sunrise Ford for my new Supercrewzer won during the raffle. I really would have liked the white one as it matched up with my trailer better. But, I'll settle for the blue. I can't wait to start with the mods.
Re: The Official Southern California Dyno Day...February 9th, 2003 (Follow Up)
Thank you Bobby and BigRed for setting this event up and Sunrise Ford for hosting it. I also would like to thank Robert the Dyno tech, he was very nice to do this on a Sunday. I had a great time and from what Robert said my truck putting out 208HP stock with 38" tires is pretty good. Now time to regear, exhaugst and chip and then see what it does. I have some pictures I took at the event up on my WebShots Page , check them out. Again it was great meeting everyone can't wait for the next meet even if it's just hanging out somewhere.
Thanks again Sunrise
Re: The Official Southern California Dyno Day...February 9th, 2003 (Follow Up)
Holy S*&T was this a COOL event or what?!? HUGE thanks to Bobby and the Sunrise Ford crew, they did an excellent job! I had a great time and met some very nice people. Mine was the first 6spd they dyno'd and being bone stock I turned 250 hp at 68 mph in 4th gear. Needless to say I'm very happy! I believe Bigred turned 347hp, but I'm not sure at what speed
I sure hope we can do this again. Now I have a base line to work from for the mods I have planned! Once again, Thanks Bobby. You guys made it a great day!!
Jeff

Re: The Official Southern California Dyno Day...February 9th, 2003 (Follow Up)
The 1st runs were at 347hp....with the tires nice and shiny. From the pics that were taken....you can see how it was tied down...from the rear only.
Came back 8 hours later...and this time strapped it down with 4 tie downs (front and rear of axle).....and came back with a 360hp at 63mph....#2 only of course (and the tires were still nice and warm and shinny but better than the 1st time)...still need to do my fuel system yet...lol
The other gentleman with the 370hp (#2 and LPG) came back and dyno'd a 360hp and cranked a little more LPG in and it came down some more to 347hp(?).
Thing is....its hard to get a solid hp number when the engine is making more HP than the tires will hold to the rollers.
Some other top trucks were Elkbowhunter (LPG and TS chip)...351hp and
Rusty 335hp and there was another that ran a 322 with LPG (sorry forgot your screename) but Bobby will be one here soon with the offical dyno results.
Thanks to everyone that came out....Bobby and I were glad to see everyone...and glad that no one BROKE!!!! and everyone that wanted to dyno got to dyno. Once again....it was a great turn out....and they say the FORD boys and girls don't know how to party
Also want to say thanks to Robert....our dyno operator who worked his tail off like crazy.
Also some great pics there taken too....THANKS!
Bobby and I are gonna take a little break before we start the planning of the "big event" which should be a full 2 day event next year.....

LMBO Big Red, that's the first time I've EVER heard somebody refer to Gene as a gentleman...... that's my brother!
Looks like yall had a blast and from talking to him last night I missed one heck of a get-together. Maybe next year I can make it out there and we can make this a family gathering. Glad everyone had fun and the biggie, nobody broke. Hope everyone made it home safely.
Tim

I just want to chime in with the rest and say thanks to everyone that played a part in setting the day up! My son and I had a great time!
My son, Nick, wants me to thank the nice lady that gave him the trucks! (Sheryl maybe?)
Thanks again to everyone, looking forward to next time!

Include me and my wife for a good time at the get together. Big Red and Bobby Williams hit a home run. I was real happy with my dyno results for the modest changes I have made.
Everyone treated me real good, especially Knuckledragger who gave me a ride in his X with the BTS trans.
Thanks
Dennis

Re: The Official Southern California Dyno Day...February 9th, 2003 (Follow Up)
Ok, I will give my two cents worth. This was the first rally/dyno day that I have attended. I must say it was a little confusing at the start, but Bobby and gang worked out the kinks. I have been reading saying that everyone is happy with their turn out and such and that everyone is happy that noone broke. Well I was the only truck that did not get a good run in because of some sort of mechanical problem that has me baffled. No worries through. I will fix and be back.
Thank you everyone that made this day a great one. I was so nice to get out and meet everyone. Personnally, I still think that the IDI's sound much better then the PSD's, but I guess I am a little bias.
But seriously, it was great to see all the trucks and get some great ideas and realize our passion for these beasts and the money that we spend on them......ain't it great!
From Mufasa and myself......THANK YOU!

Gene & Sheryl
Thanks for the offer to trade. Unfortunately, I already gave it to my daughter . I don't think I could change it now.
Just curious, you going to add propane to this one also? LOL
