Re: pull in Texas
Any more info on the one in Burnet?
And will it just be old farmers w/ their tractors or will any trucks be pulling.
What do I have to do so I can safely pull w/ a lifted truck?

Re: pull in Texas
Suns-
no I dont have any more info on the pulls.
I dont have much experience pulling (I have only done 2 pulls), and all I needed was a clevis, that I borrowed from one of the guys pulling. I dont know what extra equipment you need for a lifted truck. You might want to ask Dr. Speed what he did, because I think your truck and his are about the same size.
will keep you all posted

Re: pull in Texas
i'm out of town right now, but i'll give a more detailed answer when i return.
basically, watch out for axle wrap, so you don't break driveshaft joints. once you get the *hops*, back out, and call it a day. pull in 4 low, 2nd gear, and you should be pretty much good. brake stand, build boost, and get off to the fastest start you'd be willing to put your truck through!

So I guess it's pretty much a given that w/o trac bars of some sort my semi-high hp lifted truck (5" blocks) is going to hop?
How would I deal w/ my hitch not bending if I were to use a drop hitch? Or would I just use a straight hitch to prevent that from occuring?
Interested...
