Anyplace up there would be great. I was thinking that there would have been more interest from the good folks in MD. I cant go 2 miles around here without seeing a Pstroke. I want to get together for some kind of event. I dont care if there is 3 trucks or 103. I would also like to start up some type of club. I, like most of us have been busy with the family, and all of the other summer activities. I do keep up with the topic even though I am not allways posting. I am here so keep in touch.

Motor,
I 2nd the thought of a small get together, even if it was just for an hour or two some Saturday afternoon.

I agree guys. Maybe we could all meet at the Buck on the 29th? We could get there a few hours early, and tailgate in the parking lot and have a meeting. There is a nice space in the back along the tree line where campers are often set up and no one would bother us. For those of you that haven't been there, you can find directions at http://www.800padutch.com/buck.html What do you say? David, I hope your OK. - Mel.

Hey Gang,Iam up for any and all of the ideas. When all the Summer things calm down lets all put our heads together and set up a get together. I am also doing the vacation thing in the end of the month. I will figure out some way to locate local srokers to help in our ideas. SPRED THE WORD !! Mel, hope ya have a good vacation, and Dave hope all is well. Matt, I work in GTown, and am trying to spread the word and get some of us local folks to do Jimmy Cone on FRI. or SAT nights once a month. I thought this might be a way to boost interest and numbers. Let me know if you are interested. Back to the club idea I just did an event with the Corvette Club, and these folks showed up 50 strong, most local, and it was impressive. Wonder what 50 trucks would be like???????? Have a good one! MOTOR555,
Jimmy Cone sounds like a great idea!
I think there is good potential for a Powerstroke club in our area. It would certainly provide an excellent oppourtunity to compare notes on diesel mechanics, modifications, etc...
By the way I purchased diesel at Lisbon Texaco for $1.46/gal last week. This is a great price compared with Germantown or N.VA.
Thanks
Matt M
PS: With regard to Buck I'd be interested in that idea however we are supposed to turn over the 1st of 4 buildings, to the owner, on 8/4/00 and I suspect I'll be working both days that weekend.

MATT, It might be Aug. before the Jimmy Cone idea can happen. I know of 5 others that may be interested. How about you? I would like to try and find as many as possible to come. I am sure that if we could just get the ball rolling things would take off. I am in no way trying to cut out other MD. folks. I would just think that folks from all over the State dont want to come to such a little get together. I just have no other ideas on how to get things started. I also dont want to sound like I want to be the BIG CHEESE in charge of the thing. The common theme that I see is that those of that are into our trucks want to get together with each other in person, with the future goal of some type of rally. Those of us that have shown interest are kind of spread out in the State. This could be a plus for furure plans, but makes it hard for us to hook up now. I also want to make sure that if this takes off that it is done right. This is all new to me and in no way am I an expert. ****** Any and all feedback welcome NOW!!!!!
Hello All - Add my name to interested Marylander's wanting to get together. Haven't been following the Events Forum, I am now. I live near Silver Spring MD. Actually 1/2 way between D.C. and Baltimore. Would like to meet other PSD's in this area.

Well, I heard David say he would try and make the Buck, but I'm not sure of anyone else. Let's all check this thread on the 28th and see who else might show. - Mel.
Mel, I would love very much to make the event on the 29th,however, I will be doing the vacation thing with the family. We leave that day for the Del. beaches. I was thinking that if ya get some STROKERS spread the word of our intentions of organizing. I hope you all have a great time at the event. Landon, Thanks for jumping in! I will let you know on a get together. I got to go now. Going out to see what got blown out of the yard in he storm last night. HOPE THE TRUCK IS STILL THERE!!! Have a good Sat. 555

Motor555,
August is fine. I only know one other PSD owner that might be interested and he lives in Newington, VA. I'll be sure to pass the word on to anyone who might be interested.
Everyone else I know, who drives a truck, its either a Dodge, Chevy, or riceburner.
Matt

Big O, David, and anyone else coming to the Buck on the 29th, I suggest we meet at the fence behind the east (Rt. 272) side grand stand, which seperates the pits from the stand area. I'll be sitting on the top row of that grand stand around the 75 to 100' mark, and will be able to look down over the back of the stand for you. I'd say the first meeting attempt should be at 5:00pm, and the second at 8:00pm sharp. The show doesn't start until 7:00pm, but anymore if you want a good seat, you've got to get there by 4:30. I'll try to save some seats. - Mel.
