Ok, now that I have your attention, I hope I don't offend anyone by posting this (my being the new guy and all).
Below I am going to post some reasons why a FL Club would be a GREAT idea. Priority reasons listed first....
1. Only thing that beats a cold beer is a cold beer in good company.
2. A great way to meet and see everyones setups first hand.
3. I gotta learn something about these trucks before mine breaks
4. Florida is LOADED with daily driven diesel trucks.
5. Only thing that beats a good BBQ, is a good BBQ in good company.
6. Last and not least, see #1 and #5.
Reasons I am trying to start this thing...
A. I don't have a time clock to punch, and I travel the entire state every week. Could meet up with folks easier thab most.
B. More friends, less enemies
C. See #1 @ the top.
Anyhoo, was thinking if those who are interested can either e-mail me or post to this thread we can get a feel for how many PSD freeks we would have. Then, if that goes well, we would need a name, gotta be a cool one though , no sissy names. After that, see where everyone lives, and start by throwing together a Hooters Day deal nearest the largest population of members.

Sonny -- Good to hear some interest for a Florida club. Here is a list of some of the guys in the central Florida area:
scottginfla - Scott in Sorrento
ThunderFord66 - David in Ocoee
Gaskett - Glenn in Melbourne
lagerhead - Steve in Palm Bay
bulrid8 - Clayton in Live Oak
For a central Florida group, I always thought Central Florida Ford Diesels (CFLFD) or something like that.
I live in Orlando (MetroWest area) but work in Lake Mary. I-4 every day to and from work, woo-hoo!
I am down for whatever on the weekends. I think there is a truck pull October 9th in Lakeland a bunch of people are thinking about going to.
Cheers from Orlando, FL!
Dave

I'd be interested. Assuming no ones done anything dumb on I-75, Ocala is about 3 hours for me.Haven't seen him post in a while but TurboHans is from Cape Coral as well (SW Fl).Gotta go back and look at user names but there is another PSD vanner in Orlando (Bork, I think)and one in Sebastian Fl (on east coast).Another one in Naples Fl. That is of course if your including PSD vans in the Club.

Ok heres what I have off the cuff: Using the old abbreviation for Florida which is "FLA" and childlike spelling, How about
Florida Superduty Klub or FLASK
Florida Powerstrokes or FLAPS
Florida PSD Owners Group or FLAPSDOG
or maybe a multi-line club: Diesel Owners Group or DOG
Starting too think too hard, but would like to see how this plays out. Good Idea

Lakeland truck pull coming up, would be a good place to start. Anyone got the low down on it? I see that its on the 9th of Oct., how about times and directions?
If we could get a list of those who are going to the pull, we could always meet up, tell lies, and brag.
I must apologize about the travel and distance for some. I travel constanly, so it is an everyday thing for me. No biggie to hop in the truck and drive 2 or 3 hours to meet with a customer and hear them complain for 15 minutes, so driving to truck shows/pulls or whatever it is pertaining to a PSD club would be an enjoyment for me.
Anyhoo, I am up for the truck pull in lakeland on the 9th, anyone else care to go?
Could also use that info about it. Tim you live there, any help would be nice.

I think that PSDs and Superduties, wether vans, trucks, or excursions should be included. We had a quasi club not long ago and had a V-10 superduty guy that like to join in. Heck anybody would be welcome, as long as they liked being around dieselheads.
