Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

There is a truck pull Oct. 14 in McConnellsburg, Pa at 7pm. It is an Orlo Inc. pull held at the Grease, steam, & rust assoc. There will be a stock, hot stock, and modified diesel class, one way or another you will be able to pull unless something is unsafe on your vehicle. Stock class is just that stock. Hot stock allows chips, twins, and injectors. Mod. diesel is pretty much anything goes, with the exception of hitch height (26 inches max)and weights can be no farther than 60 inches in front of center of front axle. There will also be several gas and outlaw classes. If anyone has any questions I can find out the answer for you. I will be going to this pull and from there (as long as nothing breaks) I will be heading to Fall Brawl. I hope others that are goning to Fall Brawl can come.

Grease, steam, and rust assoc.

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

Sorry about that, Twins are in the mod. class.
SigPSD it is about 70 miles north west of Fall Brawl.
Also it is McConnellsburg not McConnesllsburg. Sorry about that I was in a hurry typing the other day

Uh-Oh Core -- twinned has some serious detonation issues -- motor hopefully hitching a ride to TN with black truck... Oh well -- we'll be ready to go in '06!

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

Pieces of pistons in the oil pan, plenty of shrapnel everywhere. Block is shot... Oops! Doug talked to Dave @ Swamp's today -- he said they usually don't blow apart pulling, but when you're loading and unloading -- just as ours did. (Didn't even get the satisfaction of awesome video footage upon detonation!) Swamp's is building us a new one -- we're not actually going to TN this year, but we're shipping the black truck with the white truck's old block and pieces. But, our goal is to hopefully have both up and running for the "Thunder in Indiana" show next June. Let us know if any of you other guys are interested in going, maybe we can get a NY convoy! Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

I knew it was probably more serious than the head gasket. Wonder how much that motor on ebay brought?

Yeah, I guess Doug was trying to be optimistic... Anyways, we didn't even check on the ebay motor -- Swamp's said they have a block and stuff. At least we know we can depend on their work... The last motor we bought (PDQ), well, you know...

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

It's approximately 5.5-6 hours from Oneonta so tack on what ever time it takes yall from there. It would be fun if u guys went. On the way back on Saturday, hit Kaufmans and put your new truck on the rollers to see what she'll do. Are you guys all driving or hauling? It's always nice to have some way to bring back the pieces if one breaks. I do have a fairly well equipped shop near Mcconnellsburg and my cousin is an awesome diesel mechanic (Mack design engineer for his real job).
