Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

Chambersburg probably has the only rooms available. Maybe Breezewood has some. Check those two places.

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

These guys are finicky too, they've cancelled the pull the last few years. I'd hate for u guys to drive 7 hours just to have them cancel it. Isn't it supposed to rain till like Saturday? Just checked the weather rain all weekend The pull will likely be a no-go.

Hey guys -- just wondering if the pull happened last night and how everyone did. Black truck is heading to TN tomorrow along with the detonated twinned!

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

The pull did happen last night and it was a decent turn out, could have been some more diesels but it was too bad. I can't really tell you what the results were because while pulling in the mod diesel class my truck went up in flames. Hope to post some video of it later. The trucks not to bad. A high pressure oil line started to leak right on the manifold and when it ignited, it was a big ball of flames under the hood. But for catching fire and stopping I still ended up with 2nd. I saw that and told my gf that was what I thought had happened. It was great watching powersnorter with that 466 run. What a rig... If I had known which truck was yours, I would have introduced myself.

A trucking co. by the name of Kansas Transit Express. They delivered our school bus (see sig) today. They're picking the black truck up on Tuesday morn 'cuz they had to run to New England first and deliver somebody's power boat! Our drivers were a married couple, so they make really good time with the two of them taking turns behind the wheel.

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

The 466 could have taken the sled at nearly 40,000 lbs out in the parking lot and did laps with it. It's just sick!!! However, I don't think one would ever live in the stock 250 chasis with basically stock drivetrain. Certainly not at the nearly 3000 hp Frank has. Maybe not even at the 1000 hp mark you've set. It will defientely be an interesting winter. Franks truck started with 4 wheels basically. It's a tube chasis monster with 36,000 lbs free floating axles etc. I got more info, I'll call Doug this week.

Hmmm... We have a "built" tube chassis... Too bad it's almost finished with the 645 alcohol motor. I'll have to talk to Doug about that...

Re: Truck pull in McConnellsburg, Pa Oct. 14

I would have taken lots of pics if it wasn;t nearly midnight and poorly lit in the pit area. If yall can make it live, it'll be awesome.
