Truck Pull in Washington

Just want to inform all those powerstrokers out there living in Washington that there is going to be a truck pull near Monroe on March 28th, as for sled weight i think the max they can get up to is 5,000 lbs maybe a little more so if anyone is interested ill post more about it.

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

Good looking out even the strokes to the south of us.

But there also having a small and large mud pit in which they go by tire size so that your not going in the pit where the guys running these huge tires are running. There also having a drag race along with a burnout contest and if you win you recieve a set of 315 Goodyear MT/R's if im not mistaken, Rock climbs for rookies and pro's and different other obstacle courses. So i believe it may be a good time.

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

Here is the website just go to the calender link and it will be in there....

I ended up calling the President and he said if you plan on attending and running your truck in any event to do the pre-register now because it will fill up quick. Last year they had a total of 150 trucks running different events and thats there max limit on vehicles.

http://www.core4x4.com/

If the link doesnt work let me know....

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

I called Will and talked to him about it. They said there will most likely not be any "class" to speak of. No rules, hitch heights, etc. Just one "open" class. I may show up, but.....been there, done that. Last one I went to like that had a truck lifted on 50" tires with a hitch height of.......60" You have to have some kind of rules, or they guy who cheats the most wins. Not much fun that way.

Woody, if you know these guys, have them set up at least a basic set of rules, like maximum hitch heights (26" usually) and max weight of the trucks (8000lbs usually), otherwise a dump truck shows up and wins.

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

Bob,
I know it seems like there should be some type of rules so it would be somewhat fair. But i dont know these guys well i just met one of the guys thats running one of those rock buggys and got word from him on whats going on.

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

I think im going to go. Hey Bob i think im going to pull also and see how that clutch holds out but im still unsure of pulling yet because i still want to be able to drive the truck home at the end of the day. So Bob and Superduty TD if your sure you are going let me know so we can at least hook up.

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

I would like to attend strictly to watch and perhaps meet some site members. I would like to thank Bob Riley personally for the great gauge package I bought from him. Does anyone know how to get to this location? The above mentioned website says it is behind the Monroe prison. Anyone been there? Thanks, Jim.

Re: Truck Pull in Washington

Thanks Scott, but I don't think this event is being held at the fairgrounds. If you go to the website given in Woody350's post they say it is being held "behind
Monroe State Prison". I could be wrong but I'll do some more checking. Thanks, Jim. P.S. I sent them an email requesting more info on the location. If I learn anything, I'll let you know.
